Health Central was named one of Orlando Sentinel’s Top 100 Companies for Working Families for 2006 and will be honored at a luncheon on August 4th from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. at Rosen Plaza Hotel. When asked about the nomination, John Sullivan, VP of Human Resources, said: “I believe that having Health Central named as one of the Top 100 Companies for Working Families for five consecutive years shows that Health Central is a strong community leader, recognizing and promoting a family-friendly work environment to both our current employees and future applicants.”
Applications for this award were sent for an April deadline and a final round of judging for the Top 25 was selected in June. All companies with offices in the Central Florida area were eligible in counties including Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, Lake, Brevard, Marion, Sumter and Polk counties. Publication of the Top 100 Companies for Working Families and the Top 25 Companies will be in the August 6th edition of Orlando Sentinel.
The 2006 Top 100 Companies for Working Families for 2006 was chosen from an application completed by a company representative familiar with the company’s benefits. The application asks a long series of questions used to determine what benefits are provided to the company’s employees in the following categories:
Core Benefits | Family Related Benefits | Work Environment
Communication | Training and Planning
Once a company representative has completed this application, it is scored based on a point system. Questions are worth one or two points depending on the benefit. Questions worth two points were chosen based on the importance and significance to families of all types.
Congratulations and thanks to all Health Central employees and physicians for being a Top 100 Company!
