Health Central University (HCU) is the first corporate university in a hospital setting in Central Florida and is dedicated to furthering the health related education of the community as well as the nursing and medical staff at Health Central. Classes are available to area residents as well as healthcare professionals.

Health Central University consists of five academies: Community Health, Clinical Excellence, Leadership Development, Professional Development and Health Central Way. Each academy is governed by an Advisory Council made up of hospital team members who are responsible for the planning, development and implementation of all the courses offered in Health Central University.

Health Central University is governed by an Advisory Board composed of representatives from each of the advisory councils, physicians, representatives from Valencia Community College, Remington Colleges andUniversity of Central Florida, as well as members of the community.
